
B-Open participated and won the Appathon organized by European Space Agency on January 2015 in Rome
The 2015 edition of the Appathons organized by European Space Agency took place on 24 and 25 of January in Rome.
30 developers were called to create an app that uses geospatial data coming from ESA Copernicus program and process them on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform.
B-Open’s team (Alessandro Amici, Giordano Pezzola and Giuseppe Cammarota) won the challenge presenting SAMPEI a satellite assisted precision fishing application. The objective of the app is to determine potential fishing zones analyzing and processing satellite data through a complex algorithm.
